SRS Fire Systems Ltd provides professional patient handling courses that are led by leading paramedics and emergency service workers designed for healthcare workers in all jobs. During our patient handling courses, we cover everything from spinal anatomy and injury assessment to patient moving, manual handling, and patient comfort. We offer our Patient Handling courses from the comfort of your workplace, taking groups of up to 10 participants, and demonstrating the course for between two and four hours before a theory and practical assessment. On completion of this course, you will receive a Patient Handling certificate which is valid for two years after certification. Patient Handling FAQ

  • Do I need to do a patient handling course?

    Yes. If you are a healthcare worker who regularly works with mobility-impaired patients, you are legally required to undertake a patient handling course in compliance with the 2005 Health, Safety, and Welfare at work act.

  • Why do I need to do a Patient Handling course?

    Undertaking a Patient Handling course will educate you on how to assess risks and safely move mobility-impaired patients without injuring yourself or the patient.
